It is the main town in the borough of St Edmundsbury and known for the ruined abbey near the town centre. Bury is the seat of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich, with the episcopal see at St Edmundsbury Cathedral.

Lowestoft: Lowestoft is a town in the county of Suffolk lying between The Broads. Lowestoft Harbour heads towards North Sea. Lowestoft is the most easterly town in the United Kingdom, because it is home to Ness Point, the most easterly point of the United Kingdom and of the British Isles. Lowestoft is part of the Waveney constituency.

Woodbridge: Woodbridge is a town in Suffolk, East Anglia. It is in the East of England, not far from the coast. The town is served by Woodbridge railway station on the Ipswich-Lowestoft East Suffolk Line. Woodbridge is twinned with Mussidan in France.

Newmarket: Newmarket is a market town in Suffolk, approximately 65 miles north of London. It is generally considered the birthplace and global centre of thoroughbred horse racing. It is the largest racehorse training centre in Britain, and home to most major British horseracing institutions. Nine of the UK's 32 Group 1 flat races are held at Newmarket, the same number as at Ascot Racecourse. It has two racetracks, The Rowley Mile and The July Course
