Places to stay in East Sussex

Brighton: Brighton is the major part of the city of Brighton and Hove in East Sussex on the south coast of Great Britain.

Eastbourne: Eastbourne is an elegant resort at the foot of the South Downs in Sussex. Friendly hotels and exciting events make us one of the country's favourite holiday destinations.

Rye: Rye is a small town in East Sussex which stands approximately two miles from the open sea and is at the confluence of three rivers: the Rother, the Tillingham and the Brede. In medieval times, however, as an important member of the Cinque Ports confederation, it was at the head of an embayment of the English Channel and almost entirely surrounded by the sea.

Hastings: Hastings is a town and Borough on the South coast of England, in East Sussex. It includes originally separate settlements, as well as the inevitable growth of the town through the building of new estates. In historical terms, Hastings can claim fame through its connection with the Norman conquest of England; and also because it became one of the medieval Cinque Ports. Hastings was, for centuries, an important fishing port; although much reduced, it has the largest beach-based fishing fleet in England. As with many other such places, the town became a watering place in the 1760s, and then, with the coming of the railway, a seaside resort

Bexhill-on-Sea: Bexhill-on-Sea is a town and seaside resort in the county of East Sussex, in the south of England, within the District of Rother. The Anglo-Saxon name for the settlement was Bexelei, from leah—a glade where the box tree grows.
